This palette is probably one of the most anticipated palettes being released this year and Urban Decay managed to keep it a secret up until the very last minute. NAKED palettes are staples in every makeup collection. When Urban Decay brings out a naked palette, they BRING OUT a palette and a half.
The Urban Decay Naked Heat collection consists of:
Naked Heat Palette
The Palette itself is aesthetically beautiful. Everything from the exterior packaging, the palette packaging and the shade selection is so thought out. The cardboard packaging mimics a matchbox, which I thought was an awesome touch! The exterior cover of the palette is designed to give the impression that you are staring through shades at a hot, steamy sunset! The palette contains a full size mirror and the box itself is very sturdy for travelling so guaranteed, you can get naked anywhere!
The palette contains 12 ALL NEW, can’t really live without shades! with a nice blend of shimmer and mattes.
The palette retails for €47.50
The shadows were pigmented AS HELL and blended like a dream! I genuinely adored every shade but was disappointed with En Fuego and Ashes. They are the darkest mattes in the palette but didn’t swatch as strong as the others. So I tried them again with primer to get a stronger result.
The swatches on the left have the Urban Decay Primer Potion and the swatches on the right have no primer. These are finger swatches.
Urban Decay Naked Heat Lipsticks:
Fuel: a warm peachy nude cream
Heat: Metallized burnt red gold
Scorched: Metallized copper.
The shades are absolutely gorgeous and complete the heat collection. The formula is the usual Urban Decay VICE lipstick formula. Its creamy and packed with pigment. It is worth noting that the metal shade of lipsticks don’t feel chunky or rough, the glitter is so finely milled.
Pigment payoff is super strong and staying power is brilliant. You can use a lipstick to hold the colour for longer OR do as I did and use the two eyeliners that are a part of the collection to create an ombre effect!
The packaging has been altered to blend in with the scorching heat of this collection! The outside barrel is dipped in a copper hue which is set on top of a gold lipstick base! The lipsticks are packed with not only pigment but jojoba, aloe vera, avocado and babassu oils to keep lips nourished!
The lipsticks retail for €18.50 each.
Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeliners:
There are 2 brand new shades from the 24/7 glide on eyeliner range. The 24/7 eyeliners are notorious for colour payoff and there is no change here!
Alkaline is a deep wine shade
Torch is the perfect sienna shade!
They are waterproof, seamlessly glide on and are not patchy. They are also creamy enough to be blended so you could use them as an eyeshadow base!
The eyeliners retail for €19.50 each.
Overall this is another strong collection from Urban Decay who, as I have mentioned previously, are consistently nailing all their new releases! If you have NAKED palettes, you will want this one and it is definitely the same top quality that you are used to!
If you don’t have any NAKED palettes then this is an awesome one to start with. Full of coppers and brick tones for a smokey eye and some light enough shades for day to day wear!
The products are available NOW at all Urban Decay counters, the Urban Decay store on Grafton street, in Debenhams and House Of Fraser!
