Not Worth The Price
I wanted to Love this foundation SO BAD!
The first thing that threw me a bit was the scent. It is VERY heavily perfumed. I don't mind a soft scent - I prefer no scent to be honest, but this was over bearing.
My main issues with this foundation is, If you are going to charge €75 (!!) for a foundation, the foundation should just 'work'. I should be able to put it on like I normally would and it should look great. But unfortunately YOU need to work this foundation. I need to wear the Tom Ford Stick foundation (which I LOVE) with it. I place the stick foundation along my T zone and blend in with a sponge. The finish is Oily - not dewy, OILY.
My next big issue is the shades. I picked up 01 Alabaster in the stick foundation and the liquid. To my surprise they are actually different shades. The Liquid is more pink and I find myself putting on 2-3 layers for a full coverage but I still don't feel confident in it when I leave the house. I'm constantly checking in mirrors to see how it is wearing. The stick shade however, is perfect for ALABASTER skin.
Obviously with this being a very dewy/Oily finish you really do need to powder it a bit. I picked up the Tom Ford Translucent compact powder and due to the fact the foundation sets very Oily, I had to constantly clean my powder brush AND it was causing the skin to appear on the powder.
It should not be this much work, to make a €75 foundation look good.
Tom Ford Liquid Foundation scores a miserable 2 out of 5.
