Kylie Jenner has released another product to the Kylie Cosmetics Empire – The Kyshadow Palette!
A 9 pan eyeshadow palette featuring all warm tones!
Kyshadow Palette - 7/10
Kylie continues to Dominate
When it comes to celebrity products - especially beauty products, Im typically very weary.
Majority of the time it is a money grab where they have just stuck their name on the packaging and the actual quality of the product is pretty bad!
So this was the first new product in the Kylie Cosmetics range since her Lip Kit (which has taken over the world.)
As usual, it is a job and a half to get any of her new products - OR even her current products for that matter. Even the lip kits which have been out for months are constantly selling out.
Before I purchased the palette, I was obviously aware of the comparisons being made of the Kyshadow palette and the Shaaano palette with BH Cosmetics. From looking at images online, it is QUITE clear that they are completely different palettes - SO that's one myth busted!
The actual packing doesn't feel cheap - considering IT IS a cardboard palette which unfortunately has no mirror. I really feel like a mirror would have made the palette perfect.
Clearly a lot of time and thought went into the overall packaging of this palette. The Holographic eye picture you get in the box with your palette is a very cute touch!
I do love how sturdy and secure the packaging feels!
The actual quality of the eyeshadows impressed me the most. These are very pigmented shadows that blend VERY easily. I was honestly ready to be disappointed with the quality but I really couldn't fault the actual eyeshadows.
The tones are absolutely GORGEOUS for Autumn, or for any brown smoky eye lover! There are 2 Shimmer shades and 7 matte shades. I really, in all honesty could not fault the quality. I would easily compare the quality of the eyeshadows to that of Urban Decay and MAC.
It is worth noting that there is A LOT of kick up from the eyeshadows when you put your brush in the pan but it doesn't really fall down onto you face. Once you apply the brush to your eye, the shadows sit on your skin after contact.
This palette would have gotten 9 or even 10 out of 10 if it had a mirror on the palette. I feel like it was something that was just overlooked but would have made a major difference.
I do feel that Kylie Cosmetics really need to decide what they are doing with the stock. It is extremely frustrating as a cosmetics lover, to want to pick up a product but have to constantly battle it out with a MASSIVE Fan base. I feel like this in the long term would be bad for business to the point where it will only be her fans purchasing the products because everyone else just isn't bothered going through the hassle of trying to get the products as they launch. They have the fan base AND the finances to up their stock levels to keep them in stock but for some unknown reason they don't. A sell out appeal is great and builds hype but after a while it gets tiring.
